Estate Sale Finds, Installment 3

Last weekend I went to several estate sales after a long time being couped up inside due to an extremely cold Winter and an extended illness.

I finally started feeling better and decided to get out to some sales.

 

 

I decided to break things up a bit by doing multiple posts.  You can see the previous items here,  which includes vintage clothing and miscellaneous items.

 

This installment is mostly about industrial and rustic.

 

Divided Drawer

 

This Summer I'm doing a craft show with two of my sisters.  My plan for this divided drawer is to use it to display some of the things we'll be selling.  I may or may not paint it.

One is a Cole Steel file drawer in an army green.  The other is a Steelmaster in a gray color.  The two file drawers will go on my Etsy Shop.

The last group of items include five oil cans.  I'm not sure what I'll be doing with these, but I seem to buy them whenever I come across them.

 

The large Ovenex cookie sheet is in rustic condition.  I think it would be great re purposed as a magnetic board.

 

There are also two sets of different size Bake King Cake Pans. They'll go on my

 Etsy Shop.

Last in the group is a little vintage nail brush with a mother of pearl celluloid top.

Estate Sale Finds, Installment 2

This is a continuation of last weekends estate sale finds.  I started out with the

vintage clothes found here.  Today will be some of the miscellaneous vintage items I found.

I went to several sales and found a few things at some of the sales and a lot of things at one sale.

 

The Lampshade was covered with tattered fabric

I will post some of the items in my Etsy Store and some will be used in crafting.

The wood candle holder will be used to make the base of a re purposed cheese dish.  I've already glued the pieces together and painted one coat of Old White Chalk Paint.

 

The dictionaries and hymn books will be used for Paper Crafts and in Decoupage Projects.

 

 

I'm not sure what I'll be doing with the lampshade.

One possibility will be to make a hanging lamp.

Vintage Ladies Clothes

Last Saturday I was able to get out to some sales after an extended illness.  Nothing major, just a long stomach flue followed up by a cold that didn't want to leave.

Anyway, I'm getting my strength back.  I might add that this has not been a fun Winter here in Michigan!

I noticed there were a few Estate Sales/Garage Sales nearby so I got up early and hit the road!

 

I'll have to divide my finds into a few posts because of the amount of vintage items I purchased.

 

 

The first installment will be vintage clothing.

Gold London Fog Coat

 

I don't normally purchase much in the way of clothing but these really screamed 70's!!!

The purchases contained three pairs of pants, four coats, two blouses, a pantsuit, a sweater and four dresses.

I have to determine the sizes on these as the size tags have been taken off most.  They appear to be around sizes 8 to maybe 12.

Extra Large Vintage Flashcards

These vintage flashcards are gorgeous.  My mom found them at an Estate Sale or a Thrift Shop.

They measure 9.5" X 13.75"

They are very colorful and would make great pictures for a child's room.



 

 

The backs of the flashcards have the letters and additional words.
